NTS: Upcoming Events, Class and Conference
I know, everytime I show up it seems like shameless self promotion but here are a few NTS "updates." NTS will be serving as one of the sponsors of Brian McClaren's Deep Shift/ Everything must Change tour in Kansas City April 25-26. NTS is just one of three Nazarene Schools sponoring legs of this tour (most recent was NNU and I think PLNU is the other school).
Summer classes at NTS include a course in Readings in Missional Theology May 26-30 (preliminary and post-class work completed online) including a scheduled visit from Lois Barrett, co-author of Missional Church, and editor and co-author of Treasure in Clay Jars.
Also, big event next Fall that you may want to get on your schedule. NTS is pleased to announce that it is presenting a conference, “Reclaiming Paul: The Apostle in the Emerging World” this October 22-24, in partnership with Emergent Village. The conference will be held at Jacob's Well Church in Kansas City, MO. The conference will bring together Pauline scholars and emerging church leaders for a robust theological conversation on Paul and the Church. This event will include four major presentations by Pauline scholars, responses by emerging church leaders and a variety of related workshops/breakout sessions. There will be plenty of time for interaction between the conferees, Pauline scholars and emerging church leaders. See NTS website for more information. http://www.nts.edu/reclaiming-paul
Just an update on what we are seeking to do at NTS to promote the "conversation." Comments?
